Amritha Anupindi-Stage Manager-11th Grade
Amritha Anupindi is very excited to be working as the stage manager for Lend Me a Tenor, her tenth show with the Huron Players! This will be the third show that she has stage managed, and it is her favorite tech position. Amritha loves the Huron Players and the sense of family it provides, as well as all the student-run aspects of every show. She is extremely proud of the success the past two shows have brought to HP, and she hopes to see another full house for Lend Me a Tenor! In addition to working on the technical aspects of the show, Amritha is the fundraiser on the Huron Players board. Outside of the theater, Amritha plays clarinet with the Huron bands. She loves reading, when she has time, and hanging out with her cat. She has been described as “savage,” a word which here means, “brutally honest; in some cases, to the point of inflicting damage on the souls of others.”
Arun Bhattacharya-Saunders-10th Grade
Arun Bhattacharya is very excited to be acting in his third Huron Players show. It is his first time acting in his sophomore year, but he doesn't seem very worried. When he isn't at HP, Arun loves to lounge around and get angry for no reason, so it is very fitting that he is supposed to impersonate someone who does the exact same thing. Arun loves the Huron Players and has put everything he had into this play, so he'd really love it if all of you guys came.
Lucy Brabbs-Julia-11th Grade
Lucy is delighted to have Lend Me a Tenor be the eleventh show she's involved in. She has had many amazing experiences working backstage doing makeup and props, and also playing many exciting characters on stage. When not at rehearsal, Lucy can be found playing trumpet in Huron's jazz and symphony bands. She is so excited to be playing the role of Julia, an old woman with a outrageous personality. She has had a lot of fun working with the cast and crew to produce a fast and funny comedy.
Mary Collins-Maggie-11th Grade
Mary is excited to play Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor! She has had so much fun working with such a talented cast and crew to put the show together. This is Mary's eighth show with the Huron Players. She enjoys both tech work and acting and the unique experiences each show brings! She also loves advertising the show and making sure everything's running smoothly as HP president. Outside of Huron Players she likes to play guitar, write fiction and songs, and hang out with her pets (and friends). In between studying and rehearsing, Mary can frequently be found planning future camping trips, writing out inspirational quotes, and forgetting to return library books.
Cassidy Holli Konrad-Sound Crewhead-11th Grade
Cassidy is working as sound crewhead for the first time in Lend Me a Tenor. From the booth, she hopes to successfully play all the sound cues in order to contribute to the show. Her interests include digital drawing, gaming, and she LOVES cats. Huron Players has enabled her to become immersed within a community while working toward putting on successful shows. Cassidy has worked plenty with Huron Players in the past: doing tech work for Titus Andronicus, being on backstage running crew for both Guys and Dolls and Drop Dead!, acting and being co-crewhead for prop management in Finale 2016, acting as a witch in Macbeth, and most recently playing in the pit and managing props for The Fantasticks.
Mitchell Salley-Max-12th Grade
Mitchell was very excited to join Huron Players in 2015, making his acting debut in “Finale 2015,” later returning for the Huron Players' “Titus Andronicus,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Drop Dead!” and “Finale 2016.” This year, Mitchell performed as Macbeth within William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” El Gallo within “The Fantasticks,” and now Max within “Lend Me a Tenor.” Mitchell joined Huron Players after earning a Varsity letter in Crew, and last spring he reached the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts. Mitch’s future plans include film direction, and he has a passion for Shakespeare, singing, writing and public speaking.
Osip Surdutovich-Tito-10th Grade
Osip is excited to be Tito for Lend Me A Tenor. Working with everyone in the show has been such a blast for him. This is Osip’s third show with the Huron Players. He loves acting alongside such good actors and techies. He has learned quite a lot from his experience at HP. In his free time Osip enjoys being stupid, he’s very good at it. He also likes to play violin and hangout with his “friends.”
